Their vision was to create elegant condominiums and for buyers to take advantage of what village living offers – the best location to dining, entertainment, and shopping. The construction of the Inn started in early 2009. Holiday Valley’s Youth Connections Specialist, Pat Morgan, has proven once again that boarders Rock! Pat said, “I never thought I’d be able to put a boob park feature on the slopes of Holiday Valley.” He went on to say, “It’s exciting to see the impact we can make as a small community, thinking globally, acting locally…being able to see the funds being put to use at Camp Good Days is huge,” said Morgan. Both men and women boarders participated in the youth oriented event, geared toward raising money to help cure breast cancer. The community and entire crew at Holiday Valley pitched in to make this the biggest B4BC to date. Reading about Holiday Valley’s B4BC inspired local resident, Continued on Page 15 Congressman Massa Visits Ellicottville After a visit to Fitzpatrick & Weller in Ellicottville, Congressman Eric Massa met with local supervisors and town officials at the Ellicottville Town Hall. With 5 towns/ villages represented, Massa posed a question to those in attendance at the February 15th meeting. Since the focus of the afternoon’s meeting was the federal deficit and how Massa’s vote will impact municipalities within his district, he wanted to know how local officials wanted him to vote on President Obama’s budget. Mayor Coolidge of Ellicottville suggested that he vote it down, because he doesn’t want his grandchildren to be paying for the debt. Massa said that we will have debt regardless of how he votes, but said if he votes against it, absolutely no federal money will come here. If it doesn’t come here, it will go to NYC. “We need to have it back here,” Massa said. Coolidge went on to explain Ellicottville’s unique problem of having to expand their waste/ water treatment facility to meet DEC specifications.
