TUBING PARK TO OPEN DECEMBER 19

Grab your friends and family and head over to the Holiday Valley Tubing Company. Tubing is fun for all ages. All you have to do is sit down, hang on and experience the exhilaration of pure winter fun! The Tubing Company has up to 12 lanes and 2 handle tows...we’ll pull you back up the hill! The Holiday Valley Tubing Company is located on Rt. 242, just 4 miles from Holiday Valley on the north side of Ellicottville. A FREE shuttle service is available during operating hours. Pickup is at the Resort Services Center turn around. The Holiday Valley Tubing Company will open for the season on December 19, 2008.

Minimum age/height requirement is 7 years old and 42” tall. A special Little Tubers area is available, weather permitting, for younger children.

Tubing is an awesome activity for groups because it is fun for everyone! Contact Group Sales to find out about booking the park for an event for the 2008-09 season. Call us for ideas on group outings, team building or birthday parties, 716-699-2345, ext. 4406.

The Tubing Park is open, weather permitting on Thursdays from 4 PM to 9 PM, Fridays from 4 PM to 10 PM, Saturdays from noon to 10 PM and Sundays from noon to 9 PM. The Park is also open during holidays from noon to 9 PM.

DON’T FORGET THE CROSS COUNTRY TRAILS!

If you're a skier, cross country skills will be a snap, although you'll use a lot more muscle power than you're used to! The cross country trails are along the top ridgeline of Holiday Valley and are generally packed by snowmobile. These trails are open until 3:00 PM. You can buy a 2-ride cross country ticket for the Mardi Gras lift for $10. You can either ride the Mardi Gras chair back down, or ski down one of the easier trails (Tannenbaum or Explorer/Day's End recommended). The trails along the golf course at the base of the mountain are open during daylight hours, but be sure to stay away from the ponds that are used for snowmaking. (they're marked with a rope) Cross country rental skis, boots and poles are $17 per day.

Adventurous and experienced cross country skiers can make use of the miles and miles of mountain bike trails located in the state forest bordering Holiday Valley. These trails are not patrolled or maintained, so take all precautions of a responsible back country skier.

Kids rule at Holiday Valley. From our terrific children's ski and snowboard programs to the family-friendly Inn at Holiday Valley to the fun loving Village of Ellicottville, we love kids!

We love kids at Mountain Adventures Ski and Snowboard Program! Our very own clubhouse, the Creekside Lodge, is conveniently located next to the Clubhouse Chalet, just across the creek from the School Haus beginner's area and just down the hill from the Day Care Center. After the full day class is over, kids may keep their rentals until 4:30 so they can ski with Mom and Dad to show off what they've learned. Mountain Adventures and the Day Care Center are open daily during the winter season. Reservations are recommended for Mountain Adventures, call 716-699-3505.

Guess what? It’s not you, it’s your equipment. Jeannie Thoren, one of the most respected women in skiing has endorsed our HoliMont Snowsports Program Clinic to be held February 20-22.
Evening Clinic - 6:00 PM - “Women are not Small Men” talk by Greg Dekdebrun at the HoliCenter. Please bring boots for boot-fitting. Wine & Cheese party

First Day – 8:00 AM – HoliCenter – Boot Fitting, video, on snow clinic, demo ski testing
Second Day – 8:00 AM – HoliCenter – Equipment Adjustments, on snow training, demo ski testing, video review, wine & cheese party at 4:30 PM

If you need help with your boots, skis or skiing, we will help you get on track with our exciting clinic. Registration is limited, so be sure to register early. The clinic includes an evening talk by Greg Dekdebrun, and a two day, on-snow clinic at HoliMont. Greg Dekdebrun, Adele Wellman and our “Jeannie” trained instructors will work with you to personalize your ski equipment needs. You will also have a lot of time on-snow to try many different skis, and to develop and fine tune your skills with our instructors. There will be a video session and a wine and cheese party after the clinic.

Price: The clinic is $199.00 for members and $299.00 for guests (includes 2 day lift ticket)
