RANDOLPH, NEW YORK

Randolph, the gateway to Amish country, is a small rural village on Rte. 394 at exit 16 off of Interstate 86. Visitors to Ellicottville pass through this village as it is on route from Cleveland, Erie, Jamestown and many other points NW of us. As you drive through this historical village you will notice beautifully refurbished Victorian homes and a sweet little shopping district.

Perched high above Rte 86.in Randolph you will find the home of Dr. John Inkley, his wife Lorielle, and their three children, Ryan, Corinne, and Caden. The home consist of a large working farm, and the Randolph Small Animal Clinic

Dr. Inkley became interested in animal care, animal husbandry and farming as a teen while working for his mentor, Dr Richard Draudt, then, the local veterinarian. This employment inspired John to follow in the footprints of his mentor. John continued to work at the clinic through his college years at Allegheny College-Meadville. After earning his Veterinary Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia Dr. Inkley returned to his home town of Randolph and partnered with Dr. Draudt at the clinic. When the aging Draudt decided to retire he sold his business and property to his pupil, fellow doctor and friend, Dr. Inkley.

Along with his daily duties of a local small animal veterinarian this industrious young man has literally taken the bull by the horns, raising certified-all natural- Black Angus beef. At Inkleys’ Angus Hill Farm, on top of the beautiful high hill country of WNY they raise calves the natural way giving the cow’s free range of their hillside pasture without chemical pesticides or growth hormones they produce healthy, perfectly marbled, great tasting beef.

Dr. Inkley is not your traditional ‘gentleman farmer’ but is part of a growing group of ranchers and business owners who say the meat industry has cut so many corners for the sake of profit that the environment and quality of beef have been compromised. In addition to the health benefits for consumers, Dr. Inkley feels that the animals are treated more humanely than those finished in confinement. Dr. Inkley even purchased his own slaughter operation in Panama to ensure a clean and humane environment for the animals.

Inkleys’ Angus Hill Farm sells their beef to the public, vacuum-wrapped to eliminate freezer burn and flash frozen to capture freshness and flavor. Customers can purchase the All Natural-Angus Beef at the retail beef market located on the Farm premises in Individual packages of steaks, roast, ribs and more. Custom orders such as half and quarters are available.
