AlleganyState Park To Benefit From Local Artists
Members of the Creative Women’s Alliance Unveil Their Chair
Artists across the county were asked to volunteer to paint Adirondack Chairs for AlleganyState Park by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council. The painted chairs will be distributed around the park in June. To enable visitors to view the chairs brochures of the Adirondack Chair trail will be available at the park.
This coming August date (TBA) the annual CCAC Full Moon Family Beach Party, held at the park will feature a silent Adirondack Chair Auction.
At the last Creative Women’s Alliance meeting held at the Ellicottville Memorial Library, members
Amber Fish, Barbara Fox, Robbyn Nease, Lynn Timon, and Carolyn Widger created the pictured chair.
The Creative Women’s Alliance was formed to give women a chance to meet and converse on a variety of subjects. The meetings, held Monthly in an informal setting are a break away from everyday routines. Sharing experiences, therefore giving the chance to inspire and empower each other. Involved members include artists, photographers, creative writers and crafters. New members are always welcome. Contact Barbara Fox for more info. bfoxart@yahoo.com
