Taste of the Southtowns was a Huge Success

Thank-you to all the residents of Springville and the surrounding communities that supported the Taste of the Southtowns on Sunday May 18th at the Springville Fire Hall. This was the fourth year for the Taste and the most successful year for the event.

Congratulations to the restaurants who received special awards from the Alfred State Culinary School of Wellsville, Mark Sheldon, and Sally Cunningham from Channel 4: Chanderson’s-Best Overall and also Best Healthy Choice for their Honey Smoked Salmon, Zider Zee-Best Meat Award for their Reuben, Pop’s-Best Appetizer for their Crab Cakes and also for receiving the Best Ribs Award, Kabob Kafe-Best Vegetarian Award for their Pita with Pzatziki Sauce and Fox Valley Greenhouse for their Best Decorated Display. Also thanks goes out to the other restaurants that participated including: Pizza Hut, The Shop, Smokin’ Tom’s and West Valley Hotel.

Most of all, we would like to thank all those who supported the event by tasting the fantastic food and by buying tickets for the 50 baskets in the Chinese Auction, bidding on the Silent Auction, and enjoying the great music. See you next year Sunday May 3 at the Springville Fire Hall.
