Great Valley Town Board Meeting
Meet the Assessor Night on April 27, 2009 at 7 pm

The Great Valley Town Board Meeting convened on April 13, 2009 at 7pm.  Present was Supervisor Dan Brown, Board Members Ted LaCroix, Gary Howe, and Ann Rockwell.  Town Clerk Toni Evans, Code Officer Rob Germain.  Absent were Board Member Lori Fuller, Highway Supervisor Jack Harrington, Attorney Ron Ploetz, and Town Assessor Jeff Forster.

Main Headline is on April 27, 2009 at 7 pm is Meet the Assessor Night.  All residents of the town of Great Valley are encouraged to come out to the Town Hall and meet and ask any questions they may have to the Town Assessor Mr. Forster.  To ensure the night will not be conducted as a regular Board Meeting night but a time where the residents can learn where the town is when it comes to assessing. 

Other business conducted was Town Hall Rental is available at the cost of $25.00 with a $50.00 deposit with approval from the Town Board Members.

Agreement between the Cattaraugus County Planning Board and the Town of Great Valley to be reviewed Many Board members will be attending the training offered at Houghton College on May 6, 2009 pertaining to Zoning Laws. 

Code Officer Mr. Germain reported a letter has been drafted and will be utilized this year to notify residents of proper upkeep of their property as to codes if needed. 

Road sweeping has begun and the project of removal of the old telephone poles and lines along the railroad, residents will notice the work to soon begin.  Entering the Town, residents may have noticed National Fuel working on a gas line which was found to be under the Town Hall building which is in code violation and had to be changed by a certified contractor; Northrup is doing the construction.  It was unanimously decided to donate $100.00 to the Ellicottville Little League Football.  A date has not yet been determined for a Benefit Pancake & Sausage Breakfast with the proceeds to profit the Memorial Park.
