CCBDC to Offer County Business
Training Series in Randolph
LITTLE VALLEY—The Cattaraugus County Business Development Corporation (CCBDC), a nonprofit business development service, will hold its second six-week entrepreneurial training program of 2009 beginning on Tuesday, April 21st in the Village of Franklinville.
The CCBDC training program, “Business Basics,” will be hosted in part by the Franklinville Area Chamber of Commerce. The training will feature instruction and casework study focusing on the essential elements and best practices approaches for operating a small business in today’s challenging economy.
CCBDC’s six-week business training program in Franklinville will be held on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in room #136 of theFranklinville High School with the last session held on May 26th. All sessions will be taught by CCBDC business development professionals.
The CCBDC business start-up training class series is open to persons interested in starting a business in Cattaraugus County. Participants will learn how to write a business plan, develop a selling perspective, and understand the basics of business accounting, employee relations, pricing, filing, and reporting requirements.
Participation in the six-week CCBDC “Business Basics” training program is the first step of eligibility for securing up to $30,000 of loan assistance from the Cattaraugus County Microenterprise Development Loan Program, a revolving loan program administered by the CCBDC.

To help offset instructional costs, registrants will pay a $10.00 per class fee. Payment can be made in advance or at the class.
