Holiday Valley hosts
rock band “Three Dog Night”
Sunday, July 5th
Just when you think it can’t get any better it does! The coming 4th of July Summer Festival in Ellicottville has been kicked up a notch with the addition of a Country Rock and Western outdoor concert held on the slopes of HoliMont. The concert scheduled for Friday July third will kick off this exciting weekend.
Featuring top rated country artist Sean Patrick McGraw a Nashville Star semi-finalist who leads one of the hardest working touring acts in the U.S. His music is described as “something like Lyle Lovett singing Springsteen songs while wearing Dwight Yoakum’s’ hat.”
The ever popular Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra returns to perform on Saturday July 4th on the slopes of Holiday Valley with a patriotic tribute of a 21 gun salute and spectacular fireworks.
The Three Dog Night the American rock band, will rock the house, or I should say the slopes of Holiday Valley with tunes that continue to sell in great numbers and they receive regular airplay on radio stations around the world. Best known for their music from 1969—1974 the Three Dog Night earned 13 gold albums and recorded 21 Billboard Top 40 hits, 7 of which went gold. No other group from that era had more Top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets. During this period Three Dog Night was undoubtedly the most popular band in America with twenty-one consecutive Top 40 hits and twelve straight gold LPs. By late ‘75, they had sold nearly 50 million records. Their first gold record was “One”, others you will surely recognize “Mama Told Me Not to Come”, “Joy to the World” “Eli’s Coming” and “Black and White.”
