Spring is Coming to the Nannen Arboretum
www.nannonaboretum.org

Spring is on its way after a long snowy winter and gardeners are anxious to begin cleaning up their gardens. The same is true for the Nannen Arboretum Committee who planned a clean-up day in the arboretum at the end of March, weather permitting. If you missed that one, we can still use your help in April and May. If you are interested in lending a hand, contact Marilyn Gold at mjg36@cornell.edu or 716-699-2377 ext. 106 or 800-897-9189, ext. 106.

Interested in vegetable gardening? The Master Gardeners are hosting Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus/Allegany County’s Gardening Day ‘Creating a Successful Home Vegetable Garden’ on April 25, 2009 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Ellicottville Central High School. The day will feature Master Gardeners and community presenters focusing on vegetable gardening.

The program is FREE – we only ask that you pre-register if interested in attending.

Keynote speaker Lori Bushway, Senior Extension Associate of Cornell University, will speak about Cornell University’s Approach to Vegetable Gardening.
