The Tamarack Club at Holiday Valley
On Course for December 2009 Opening
The Tamarack Club, Holiday Valley’s slopeside condo hotel continues to move forward with the construction of the facility and is anticipated to open in December, 2009. Project Director and development partner, Terry Elsemore stated, “Despite the difficult economy, we are confident that the building will be complete and sold out by next season. Many of our owners/patrons believe that recreation has been and will continue to play an important role in their families’ activities. In these times, fractional ownership makes a lot of sense.”
With the average cost of Tamarack Club ownership of just over $100,000, the owner receives a fully furnished unit with an abundance of amenities and services, plus direct access to the slopes and golf course for ten to eleven weeks per year. Tamarack ownership provides a convenient, logical and cost effective alternative to renting and allows an owner to purchase only the time they are going to use. Although over a dozen units have been sold as whole ownership, most families only spend an average of seven to fourteen nights per year. These owners plan to leave the remainder of their time in the resort’s optional rental program to help offset their expenses. Full property management allows the owners a minimal obligation to ownership, not typical of most second homes.
Dennis Eshbaugh, President and General Manager of Holiday Valley Resort commented, “We are all very excited about the Tamarack project. When completed, this facility will take our resort to a whole new level and will be the single most impressive development we have completed in our 51 year history. We are encouraged by the continued sales of the condominiums and the support our patrons have provided. The resort is on a record pace this winter with exceptional snow and business.”
Construction will be ramping into high gear in the spring as conditions allow. Weber Murphy Fox, the design and build company, is confident that the schedule will be maintained.
