Eighth Annual 700 Club Fundraiser
LOVEFEST
Valentines Day, February 14th
at the Yodeler Lodge
at Holiday Valley

The 700 Club is a group of hale and hearty guys & gals who are over the age of seventy and still ski! They get together every year to host a fun party for charity. Who can forget the very first party which took place on St. Patrick’s Day. Green beer and green hair ruled the day and a wee group of Irish dancers from Buffalo supplied the entertainment. Through the years the Club has sponsored a Disco Theme party, Retro Ski Wear (you know - they had closets full of the stuff), and Elvis - that one was a blast! Since this year’s party falls on Valentine’s Day the theme will be - you guessed it! LOVEFEST!!!

For six bucks you can buy a ticket for a plate of yummy, homemade food. After lunch join in the fun! World renowned Tommy Tunes will be spinning the music, rev up your love life with a red hot feather boa and compete in steamy Tango contest. Then get ready to empty your pockets, our own, “Voice of Ellicottville” Bob McCarthy and sidekick “Red” will be in charge of the wild and wacky Auction for charity!

The Auction is a great way raise money for various charitable organizations, particularly the small ones that have no organized effort for fundraising. The 700 Club Party has averaged $2,500 for the last few years, something to be really proud of. Some of the recipients have been: the Alley Katz, The Village crew, the Arboretum, the SPCA, the Annual Christmas Stroll, Breast Cancer Research and others. This year, money will go to charities involved in “love”; Family Support of Ellicottville; a Rotary sponsored affiliate, Almost Home Animal Sanctuary; a nonprofit animal shelter supplying a permanent home to unadoptable animals and low cost veterinary services, and the Alley Katz; those lovely ladies who keep the Village in flowers all summer!

The LOVEFEST Party is open to every one, but only those over 70 can be in the 700 Club. Please call Ken Brown at 699-2736 if you’d like to join. Over the last 8 years, the 700 Club has raised thousands of dollars for charity and had a lot of fun doing it.

Please Help! the biggest draw at this party is the Auction. We need items to auction; anything that will bring a few dollars - old skis, furniture, booze, sweaters, ski suits, anything - our auctioneer will turn it into money. A plate of dessert for the dessert table would also help the program.
