PB-09-01 William Northrup – Electric Vehicle Systems Special use Permit and Site Plan Review.
Carol Horowitz provided an overview on the proposed business called Electric Vehicle Systems to be located at the North Park building (Stride Tool) on Route 219. Initial plans call for a showroom, vehicle assembly area, and research & development area. Initially the company will hire 4-5 employees at the site. William Northrup attended the meeting and gave an overview of future plans that could include a total workforce of 30 people.
The Board went through the Seeker Determination, the process determined the business would not have any detrimental effect on the property as the business would be assembly only, not manufacturing.
A motion was made and passed to accept the plans. A public hearing will be held at the Board’s next meeting to be held February 23, 2009.
PB-05-15 Joseph Jedrzejek: Jed Lane Subdivision – Request for extension of preliminary plat approval. A six month extension was granted to review alternate entrance to area. Current proposed entry creates possible traffic safety concerns.
Pre-Application Conference
Cold Springs Construction
Gravel mine expansion: Canada Hill Road
A request was submitted to expand the current site. Gravel extracted is a low grade type
used exclusively for owners business. Approval from the Department of Environmental Conservation is required before the board can take any action on the request.

Minutes: December 15, 2008 accepted
Correspondence: Letter from Carol Horowitz to M. Nicholson, December, 22, 2008
Songbird Site – With the 6 month time period approaching meaning the property could be designated as abandoned the Board agreed to give an extension based on a recent letter to the Board along with a payment from M. Nicholson. The Board also noted that the Board of Health and DEC do not appear to be overly concerned based on samples taken to date. However, more tests will be conducted during the spring by the DEC.
