Village of Ellicottville residents Jack and Nancy Rogan will not be straying far from their television during the inauguration parade on January 20th. Their son in law Tom Garfield is a current member and past director of the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums, they were selected to participate in the nation’s 56th inaugural parade.
Out of 1,300 applicants nationally, 80 were selected representing geographic diversity, tradition and talent.
The Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums was founded in 1991 with the primary purpose to “Honor Our Fallen” and have traveled extensively participating in memorials as well as numerous well recognized parades winning a number of prestigious awards along the way.
Most of the band’s pipers and drummers are members of fire departments located throughout Northeast Ohio.
