ELLICOTTVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL
District Defines ‘Topics’
for Strategic Planning Task Force
(1/9/2009) By Kim Logel
Under the guidance of Mr. Mark Ward, Ellicottville Centrals Superintendent, and Penny Ciaburri from PLC Associates, the Strategic Planning process took a big step in identifying the main areas that will be addressed by “Task Forces”.
Task Forces will be comprised of a diverse cross section of people throughout the community, such as parents, teachers, building principals, senior citizens, Board of Education, business owners as well as any other community member who is interested in being apart of a unique opportunity to help bring about educational growth and development. Any member of the community is encouraged and welcomed at any of the Strategic Planning meetings. Meetings are held once monthly and typically last about an hour. This months meeting will be held at ECS on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00pm.
Task Forces will be exploring the following five areas:
- Academic Excellence and Rigor
- Facilities, Buildings & Grounds
- Systems & Structures
- Fiscal Status
- Community Partnership
Each area is clearly broken down into more exact points of interest and can be seen in detail in the ECS January 2009 Newsletter. It can also be viewed online on the ECS website.
Once again, ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS are encouraged to attend. Your input will help to create a better tomorrow for the students of today. We need to keep our community moving forward and keep our educational goals and standards high. This can only be accomplished when positive and motivated individuals work together to make a difference and help to build a brighter future.
