A Special Need

For numerous people the Holiday Season is a time for giving, taking pleasure in knowing your gift will bring joy to others close to yourself, or in some cases filling a need for families less fortunate in our community.

However, there is one special gift always in need that most people can provide, the only cost being one hour of your time but can save up to 3 lives, it is the gift of giving blood one of the greatest gifts you can give this holiday season. By donating blood, you have the ability to give the most powerful gift of all…the Gift of Life. The need for blood is constant and it does not take a holiday, in fact every two seconds someone in America will need blood.

On Monday December 15th from 1:pm to 6:pm the American Red Cross will be setting up their clinic at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located on Route 242 in Ellicottville. If your time is important on the 15th you can make an appointment by simply calling 1-800-Give-Life, otherwise just show up at the designated times.

As an added incentive, the December Blood Drive will feature two drawings, Holiday Valley have donated a Family 4-pack for the Tubing Park and Special*E*Fects are donating a Family 4 pack for the HoliMont Ski Resort. Winners will be contacted immediately following the drive.
Members of the Rotary Club of Ellicottville are proud to sponsor the American Red Cross Blood Drives in Ellicottville as part of our expanding role in serving the needs of people in the immediate area. Many local residents are recipients of donated blood on a regular basis, without their regular transfusions they would not survive. Please, take one hour of your time and give the gift of life, share a pint with a grateful recipient.
