Franklinville’s revitalization committee’s first bash is around the corner and promises to be a day long event filled with a lot of family friendly activities. The group, Community Support & Involvement, (CSI), has been meeting since September planning activities in the Franklinville area. The first of many events will be the Sleigh Bell Festival on Saturday, December 6th, which will feature activities throughout the day, in various locations around the village.

The craft show and Chinese auction runs from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Franklinville Fire Hall and there will be a Christmas tree raffle at the former De Lynn’s Art Gallery. You will find a friendly Elf there doing face painting as well!
A Creative Memories workshop will be at the Franklinville Presbyterian Church from 10-5 PM and at 12 Noon, the Gingerbread contest judging will be held at the Town Hall at Park Square.

For those interested in Christmas Spirits of another kind, there will be a wine tasting at Firehouse Liquors from 1-3 PM
Santa will be at the Miner’s Cabin on Pine Street to greet kids. Have your photo taken with Santa for a nominal fee. Teddy bears will be given out to kids---first come, first served! Santa will be there from 1-4 PM.
The Sleigh Bell Dance begins at 8 PM at the Franklinville Elementary School Gym. The cost for this is $4.00 per person or $7.00 a couple. Dress is casual festive.
