DOWNTOWN SHOWDOWN RAIL JAM…. An innovative event that will amaze and entertain hundreds of onlookers happening in the village; this Saturday, November 28 at 3 pm in the parking lot behind Balloons in the Marketplace parking lot.

“I couldn’t be more stoked at how things have come together for the event. The support of everyone involved has been tremendous, and the list of ‘thank-you’s’ grows by the day. We expect the event to go off, and to give people who stop by a chance to check out something they have never seen before. Some of the riders in the event are coming from as far as 5hrs away, and the overall ability level is one of the highest the area has ever seen”… Pat Morgan

Holiday Valley’s Resort’s Youth Connection Specialists Pat Morgan spearheaded this awesome event and against a few odds has come out with a real winner; even Mother Nature has bestowed her blessings. Producing the 1ST snowboard/Skiing event ever to be held in the village is no small task; it takes commitment and a lot of hard work. The guys from Dekdebrun’s and Curly’s, Alpine Ski and Boardroom, The Red Door, The City Garage, and Mud Sweat and Gear’s under the direction of Pat Morgan banded together to create this major production and should be commended for putting so much energy into presenting this sweet event. The handrail contest promises top riders and skiers in a series of competitions that will culminate into on final heat.

The merchants and the folks at the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce have certainly outdone themselves this year, Just as Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a tradition that for the past eighty years, has officially announced the arrival of the Christmas Season, the Christmas Open House officially starts Ellicottville’s Holiday Season. Santa is now visiting Ellicottville to be part of the ceremonious lighting of the white lights that glow in awesome wonder up and down the streets of our special Village during this season of rejoicing During the weekend merchants will offer special sales and goodies for the Holiday’s, along with fire truck full of activities for young and old!
