5th Annual Beer & Wine Festival

On Saturday November 8, 2008 Holiday Valley and two of Western New York's foremost microbrewers, the Ellicottville Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewery are hosting the 5th Annual Beer and Wine Festival at Holiday Valley's Yodeler Lodge on Saturday, November 8 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Guests will be able to sample a variety of hand-crafted beers from over 30 of the best US and Imported beers and wines from New York vintners.

This is a rare opportunity for beer and wine lovers to compare their favorites with a host of other products all under one roof. To cope with the large turnout expected for this special event at the Clubhouse Chalet, Holiday Valley has added a large heated tent on the Clubhouse deck. Upon entering the Yodeler Lodge, guests will be given a commemorative glass which entitles them to a 3 ounce sample from each vendor; your ticket also includes a $5.00 voucher that can be used for food including a seafood bar and fine German specialties. Live blue grass music by the Dirty Mountain Boys will maintain a festive mood throughout the afternoon and early evening.

For brewery memorabilia fans there will be a "Breweryana" auction starting at 6:45 PM.
Brewers include: Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Great Lakes, Erie Brewing, Saranac, Southern Tier, Ellicottville Brewing, Ithaca, Roerhbac, Flying Bison, Custom Beer Crafters, Butter Nutts, Original Sin Cider, Harpoon, Voodoo, Smutty Nose, Long Trail, Hebrew and Otter Creek, Spanish Peaks, Wood Chuck, Leinekugel, Middle Ages, Stone, Anheuser Busch, Inbev Brands, Consumers Beverage Centers....and many more

The ever popular 5 course tapas style Beer Tasting Dinner will take place on Friday, Nov. 7 upstairs in the Clubhouse Chalet. Cost of the dinner is $50 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 716-699-2010.

Tickets for the Beer and Wine Festival are $32 presale, available at the Inn at HolidayValley, the Ellicottville Brewing Company, Consumers Beverages and Wegmans. Tickets are available at the door for $40.

A free shuttle service is available for HolidayValley lodging guests from the Inn and HolidayValley condos to the Festival, into the Village of Ellicottville and from the Village of Ellicottville back to the lodging. Non lodging guests will be charged $5 for transportation into Ellicottville. Please be advised that there is a zero tolerance policy for open containers in the Village. (Empty your glass before you get on the bus!)

Guests must be 21 years of age to purchase a ticket and enter the festival. Children will not be permitted inside the festival.
